I cannot find any information on exactly what year Mazda changed the exhaust port location. I read many things stating that the "later years" had the change. But that dosnt mean much. my guess is that the series 2 in 09, but I would like to know for sure.

does anybody hear know for sure what year they made the exhaust for location change?

 

The timing changed between low and high power s1 engines.
The location changed from the previous REW engines.

 

Maybe I wasn't specific enough. I am asking what year they moved the exhaust port further from the rotor housing in the Renesis.

I have read they moved it further due to heat issues causing water jacket problems.

 

I don't reckon it ever happened.

 

Nothing changed between Renny 1 and Renny 2 in that area AFAIK.
