Exessive smoke during hard cornering and high revs

Earlier this year I had a "run" over a piece of road, approx 2 km, curvy, where I drove at the limit.

At the last curve I could see a lot of smoke coming from my rear, I presume from exhaust. I do premix 1:200, but this looked like engine oil was sucked up, and burned. When I checked oil level it was in the middle between the marking.

Is this a known issue? Anyone experienced the same? Is it something I should investigate closer?

WTF! I autocross the **** out of my car driving near the limit all day and I never get smoke coming from the back of the car. I would look onto it.

The car does burn more oil during hard driving due to design. The engine is injected with oil and more RPM = more injection, but I would agree with the previous comment that your observation doesn't appear to be normal.

I had that problem. I always redline my car at the same spot on the highway and noticed that smoke used to come out at high revs. Turns out my CAT was partially clogged.

what color smoke was it?

white? blue?

im assuming it isnt from the exhaust not getting enough fuel to ignite a flame, but instead throws some smoke.

OEM cat? aftermarket cat? midpipe? lets hear some more details.

It was on the OEM cat. The smoke is white as I recall. I could see it in my rearview mirror, but the color gets distorted at night. My car is actually at the dealer right now for a lack of power. Im trying to convince them to replace my cat for free but they wont.

I doubt it is clogged cat in my case, because there is none

Regarding color, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was blue- ish. Was driving at the limit, so there was little time to study mirror too much.

I redline my car and drive hard at regular basis as well(after this happened as well), but never seen this. My suspicion is that oil has been sucked/splashed from oil pan into intake somehow. Is this possible somehow?

"Specified major emission control components
are covered for the first 8 years or 80,000 miles."

cats are covered under the federal warranty, but it is 8 years, 80,000 miles. Not 10 years.

Different parts of the emissions system are covered differently, but the main one is is the 8yr/80k that covers most of the stuff, including the cat.
