You got flames? Is the car stock? Do you have a cat?

you got it at 06 brand new and 40K miles you never changed your plugs ?

I think I see where the problem is : "User abuse"

Well, yours is a 06, bumper to bumper warranty should be over by now. You still have powertrain warranty. put your cat and exhaust back on and bring it to Mazda. You better hope that the dealership will not question you for *have you ever change your plugs*

Your coils might be failing or already failed. Dealership will check it.

P.S. : I dont get it, why people wants to run straight pipes, they love the carbon monoxide or something ?

They don't want to afford a new cat... idk

How might that cause a seal failure, the gas isn't burning off and dissolving the oil? Or do you just mean they be looking for any way out of the repair?

^ how so?
I was thinking about the white smoke (water vapor) and water in the engine. I don't really have a clue how that could happen in the rotary though, no head gasket to fail.

if the seals fail in rotary, coolant can leak.

if the plugs are too old, it might break off and take one of the rotor housing to rotary heaven with it.

Take ur midpipe and exhaust off, bring it to MAzda dealer, u should be still under powertrain warranty, and it should cover ur problem.

ok an update i drop the car off on Tuesday and now from what i been told i have no compression at all. So they said i need a new motor and now they are trying to see a log or receipts of me doing an oil change on the car which i don't have. I change the oil in my car well before the 3000 mile mark all the time. what to do next?

now if your 8's at the dealer and they are looking at ur service records, then jus wait it out and no need to worry if you kept up to date on everything.

if they give you any bullshyt about other shyt and not willing to cover, just go to another dealership and find out if they can do it for you instead. =]

yea they tried that on me with the service records and b.s. but the only record i have on file is an oil change was back in october 2007 i changed it back in april because the car was sitting since then. it got cleared up because when they checked the miles on the car they seen that only about 3000 something miles were put on the car with in the 6 month time frame
