Wierd situation my engine light will come on when ive been driving at probably 70mph or more for over 5 miles and it will stay on for awhile until i go down to lower speeds. does this happen too a lot of the rx8s or just mine? and i went to get it checked out and they said there were no codes at all and they had no idea what it could be.

 

is it the coolant light or the CEL? My coolant light would come on like that all the time until I realized that the sensor had gone bad.

 

pretty sure its CEL.

 

CEL normally won't behave that way except for flashing misfire indication under WOT
What is your year and mileage? How long have you owned the car?
