My RX-8 is a late 2003 model (import) and I used to get a CEL aproximately once a month. The code was something that had to do with one of the rotors, draining of fuel, which was fake. During my last visit at the dealer, I upgrated the computer's software. For the time being I have noticed smoother engine operation and smoother idling. So far no CEL but I will have to wait for 2-3 months before I say that this resolves the problem.

 

What all did they do for you? Lets look on your recpt.

 

As I said. they only updated the firmware which took 10 minutes and they didn't charge me because it is an old, on-going problem

 

U were probably on the L Or M something flash, which was problematic.
