engine light is on...

Ok here the situlation the engine light goes on and off for last 2 weeks i drove it. It isnt loose gas cap checked that and retighting to make sure. Another problem i have is that the cruise control sometimes doesnt work wont be able to be turned on this started happening when the check engine light came on.

Also i got my recall work done about 500 miles ago and now im having problems i m wondering if they did something. It seems to have a harder time starting now too.

This is really grring me because car only has 10k miles on it(and i baby it like no tomorrows) and i had toyota w/ 100k and i abuse it and runs perfect.

Be aware of flooding! The same was for me after flash update! I felt that starting takes more time, especially when hot. After two -three days of our cold climate one rotor was flooded eventually. There are some more treads with same symptoms, and we cannot do nothing except of visiting dealer one more time. I' m not sure, but it seems that there some more left in PCM or something which is not suits to new flash parameters.
Flash light torture me (EVAP leaking) for month already, cap replaced, solenoids checked, hoses as tight as new.
You should check CEL code to know are there any relation to cruise control function.
Good luck
