engine bay padding

is it safe to remove the padding from inside the engine bay?

mine is quite dirty and ratty looking, and i think it would improve the overall appearance if removed.

I don't think so. I believe that is the heat shield to protect the engine bay if a fire were to occur.

u mean the grey-ish pad like looking thing ?

Dont remove it, its there to protect it from minor fire.
