Electrical Fan Broke down

so like the title said motor of the electrical fan on drive broke down the other day, i was lucky enough to get it pull over right away and notice right away so the highest tempeture it was only at 3/4 on the tempeture meter. and i can see all the coolant got used.

then tow it to delaership....got it diagnosis for free,(long story)...then they said it cost 5XX part and labor to replace and get it fix...

i want to ask is it reasonable price? they said the part is 2xx$ the rest goes to labor...

and i want ask also, what would the cause for that??

it was a used 04 MT GT i got in May i got it at 53K now is 58 K i did two oil changed already never shut down when engine is cold, and i did hear some weird noise the night before when i was driving , i heard some extremely high tone voice as rpm go higher...

thanks guys..

If they found that one of the motors were seized, it'll run about $200 for the part.
$300 does sound crazy just for labor, but that's expected from a dealer.

This could have been caused by coolant leaking onto the motor.
Mazda was nice enough to design the overflow hose for the coolant reservoir right over the motors and power steering harness.
