Exclamation DSC going nuts

I just installed an audio link mp3 player adapter so i was digging around in the center console a bit and un hooked the battery but i was very careful throughout the whole process. Now that may 8 is all back together i turned it on for a quick run and the "DSC off" light is flashing and i cant get the DSC to turn back on. Anyone know whats going on here?

OK, i just took it for a spin and the "DSC off" light turned off but the light that comes on when you lose traction is constantly on. Also, my check engine light was on before i did the install and I have an appointment to get it checked out tomorrow but now the light is off.

My car is possessed.

Drive real slow, turn wheel all the way right, then all the way left.

Resets the centre sensor for the electric power steering.

Always happens after loss of battery power, it's in your manual.

Thanks guys. sorry for the noob question. I've been driving a 93 ford probe for the last 6 years I'm not used all the electronic gismos on this thing and having problems that the manual covers. Fixes usually consisted of stuff like.. "well that fell off. I should probably put it back on."

Any thoughts on the engine light turning off? should i still get it looked at or why would cutting the power turn that off?

No worries on your first point. It's all good.
On the second point, "yes, if it was me I would have it looked at". However.....having said that...take what they say with a grain of salt and come back on here and tell us what they said and what the want to do beforehand. I didn't go back and re-read the thread, but you aren't throwing any codes right? It's just stalling?
BTW.......anytime you unhook the battery, you will have to do that wheel sweep(with car on, but not started....most do it that way) to reset the DCS/TCS.
Key on, wheel sweep, key off........then start as normal.

They said there was nothing they could do since disconnecting the battery cleared any memory of what caused the check engine light to come on. They said if it comes back on then get it checked out but there was nothing they could do for me right now.

Does this sound legit? I think i learned my lesson. hopefully it was nothing serious.

Yup that's legit. If you disconnect the battery for anything more than a minute or so, the memory is wiped clean and all variables that have been learned are reset. Its the same thing as if someone cleared all your codes with a scan tool. If its an actual problem the light will be back on soon enough.
