I made a PDF of it many years ago, full credit to RotaryResurrection.

I referenced this thread while removing the engine and transmission together from my car over the weekend. Went surprisingly smoothly with just one issue. Sharing some experiences below...
  1. It was very easy to remove the engine and transmission and header together from the top. I had expected it to be difficult given some commentary early in this thread and others.
  2. Directions state to attach the engine hoist to the engine and lift it an inch so you can remove the engine mounting brackets from the engine. This was problematic for me. When I lifted the engine with the hoist and attached load leveler, it pulled the engine forward and the driver side engine mount bracket was stuck up against the steering shaft making it impossible to remove. I fought it for a good half hour until I finally got it out. Next time I do this, I will lift the engine from below using a jack so that the engine hoist chain and load leveler don't pull the engine forward.
  3. If you are missing the stock engine removal hook/loop brackets, like I was, you can temporarily bolt in some from a Miata.
  4. I did remove the starter before pulling the engine to be safe. It seemed like it would have interfered against something the way it sticks out.
  5. I couldn't get the clips out of the oil cooler lines. Someone had replaced them with non-factory clips that have been difficult to access and remove. Instead, I unbolted the banjo bolts.
Hope that helps someone in the future.
