Disabling the tire pressure monitor
I've got a set of winter wheels I'll be putting on my 8 over the holiday weekend, but I didn't want to spend the nearly $500 that outfitting them with tire pressure sensors would cost. Is there an easy way to simply disable the monitor while I have the winter wheels on? It's not critical, I expect, but I'd rather not have the dash indicator light staring at me until April. Thanks for any advice.

Search the DIY section. There is a very long thread on this topic, but at last reading, I believe that although several techniques have been tried, no one has successfully accomplished this feat. Try some electrical tape for a temporary "fix" until the summer wheels are reinstalled.
BTW, since you are a noob, I will suggest that the search function is your friend. Don't take offense, but any question you may have has almost certainly already been discuss, probably at length. You may get flamed if you ask questions that have already been discussed ad nauseum. Welcome to the forum in any case. Check out the other great threads in the DIY section while you're there.
