Can anyone point me to, or know of the difference between the motors in the '04 vs '05 and up or, the differences in the remanufactured engines that are being installed if they fail the recall?
Are there actual design changes to seals or other areas of the engine or is it just a replacement engine starting over with the newest flash in the ECU?

 

same stuff. Just flash changes and misc stuff like oil vent design but neither is a change in engine

 

I believe (but cant guarantee its accuracy) that one of the changes is an extra oil seal.
