difference between front and rear Rotor?

difference between front and rear Rotor?

what is the difference between the front rotor and rear rotor of the engine? are there markings? Is one bigger than the other?

they are balanced as a pair ... weight b,c, or d i think.

the information is on 1 of the faces, the important bit is the first 2 letters. it will sau either F or R (for front or rear) followed by a letter B, C or D (for weight) if your changing rotors out you need to match a pair so FB + RB or FD + RD etc etc etc etc

They have frank cuts at the edge, it really just fits in 1 way.

Weight Stamp is not very important, As long as it's within 1 letter of each other, it's not the best, but it will not throw it out of balance (not too much if this is a stock engine)

For example, C rotor (which 90% of the rotors are) will work with B, C, and D rotors, but NOT A nor E.

i took my engine apart yesterday for the second time, I found that the front rotor says FC and the rear rotor says 1C. its on the face of the rotor. thanks again guys!

stock engines (assume that's what you have) 90% of the time will have a matched pair of Rotors, and usually they're "C"

and the rotors you buy new from Mazda is always "C"

A and E are just rare.
