Cruise Control Wonky
Has anyone had this happen? I set the cruise control usually at 80mph, and at least 4 different times, as I've hit "cancel" and decelerated, then hit "res" to get back up to 80, it overshoots up to about 87 mph and then the engine lurches as if its hitting a rev limiter. I have to shut the system off, then reengage it to fix it. I'm in 6th gear every time this happens. Before I take it to the dealer, I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. It's a little disconcerting, because it gets up to 87 pretty fast.

I believe that happened to me once...it was quite surprising and unexpected, but again, only once out of the many times I've used cruise control. I wouldn't worry about it if it's not frequent.

I have noticed this before and was wondering what speed it thought I was cruising at. It has done it maybe 3 times out of hundreds. Weird is all I can say.

Stuck in a love triangle
Mine does this as well. I usually set cruise control to 73 in 6th gear when I'm on the highway (this puts me just below 3750 RPM so that the "gas wasting ports" stays closed). Of course I always have to slow down every few minutes with all the nimrods cutting me off down here...but then when I hit resume, the cruise control often goes up to 75 - 77 instead of 73.
