I honestly don't think so. Parting it up is your best option.

1. Not against the law in New Zealand to not have insurance. Over half the population does not have it.

Remind me never to move to or visit New Zealand.

Well, since insurance isn't needed, then go buy another RX-8, with a bad motor, and then swap all the good parts from this one into the new one.

BC.

buy a metric 10mm socket, you will be able to dismantle 90% of the car with 10mm

the rest is a few 8mm,10,12,14,maybe a 16. 13/16 spark plug socket, uhhh im sure there are more. But for the most part thats all you need.

I live in NZ, and this guy is the worst example of what you will encounter here.

If you have full insurance and someone who isn't insured crashes into you, your insurance pays you out and they get reimbursed by the person at fault (taken to court etc.)

I bought my 6MT RX8 when i was 20 and i lost my licence for drifting when i was 18 (stupid i know, i have changed my ways) and I am FULLY insured.

This guy has no excuses (friends and family not having insurance is a shit excuse IMO)

Please visit we need the tourism :)

Oh and to say that half the population doesn't have insurance is bullshit. Of all the people with cars that i know, 95% are insured. Take your e stats elsewhere, your giving NZ a shit reputation

That is your opinion, there is a reason why it is not illegal in NZ to not have insurance. And the reason for that is ACC. I understand in US it is illegal if you don't have insurance.
Of course if you damage other people's property you still have the obligation to fix repair or replace. The courts will make the any person who damages other person's property pay.

Majority of the people I know do not have insurance. Even those that say they do, probably don't just to make themselves look better.

Slidin8 09-08-2012 02:17 AM

I know it's my opinion and I'm allowed to voice it just as much as you are.

But look who's paying the price for not insuring their car?

I wish you the best
