Coolant leak, Throttle body?

Hi.
I just had my 8 inspected and the tech told me it took a gallon of coolant. He stated it has a leak somewheres around the throttle body but he couldn't see where without opening things up. I can see the coolant on the engine by the throttle body but the schematics in the manual do not show much.
I searched throttle body coolant leak but didn't find anything. Has anyone had this problem?

coolant passes through the tb. theres two hoses connected to it

^Yep. I believe it's there to prevent freezing.

Check the hoses going in and out of the throttle body.

Yes there is one on the top corner of the tb and the other is on the bottom opposite corner

Found it, a worn spot on the back side of the bottom hose. I was able to cut it at the break and put it back on, till I get a replacement.
Thanks to all.

iirc its there for cold weather start ups, not so much freezing cause its antifreeze

I found my coolant leak!

I had big misfires upon cold startup, white smoke and I was experiencing a slow coolant loss. Fearing the worst, I thought the coolant seals were dead. It turns out, the throttle body was leaking coolant in the following image, where all the grey crap is the stop leak that sealed the leak a few weeks ago.

You can see the grey stuff leaking from the hinge, and at WOT, the coolant would obviously spread across the outside of the butterfly and harden.
This saves an AUD$6000 rebuild!
