Your compression seems ok. Make sure you go through all the basics. Ignition, fuel, timing, compression. Have u checked for fuel pressure with a pressure gauge? See if your getting the correct pressure running and while cranking.

Its not ok. It doesn't even come close to seem ok.

In the beginning I thought maybe its OK. After reading and researching the numbers I got are bad. I have bad compressing. I showed this in earlier posts.

There is nothing I can do to bring up the numbers to 30+ psi more on each face.

I have around 4.? kpa on each face. 60-65 psi on each face. I have new coils and wires, plugs look good. Starter is at 240-260 rpm. Vacuum is around -16/-18.

Even if some how the dealer gave me numbers in the 5.? kpa range, I still have bad compression.

I'm going to be starting a new thread on the process of the rebuild. Should be exciting.

This thread is long past do for being dead.

Me showing my skills is just telling you I do have knowledge on the subject.

Its not about being cheap, its about spending smart.

I already said this and will say again.

If you can tell me one good reason why I need exact compression numbers, I will then get it done.

I already know it is bad. The process for rebuilding is already ongoing.

I just dont see the point on having the dealer show me numbers like this 4.?-5.? What is this information going to do for me on the rebuild.

Seriously, If there is something I should know please explain.

If you are dead set on tearing it down and rebuilding then there is no point. But I don't see how you know it is bad for sure based on what you have done.

Unless you have compression numbers at 250RPM, you don't really know for sure. But it is a moot point if you are rebuilding anyway.

Hey bro, trying to help u out. 65 is actually good enough for the first bounce of a face when you use your piston gauge. Your not going to get the actual max reading from a piston tester. But if there was a damaged seal on a face u would see a difference on the first bounce as the first bounce is the most important. I have 2 Rx-8s with 50psi first Bounce and they run and start fine. One I brought back from the dead with 20psi max reading from excessive flooding. I've been working on Rotarys for 10 yrs and I'm a certfied master technician. If you dont want to believe me that is fine. Don't know what ur beef with te other guys are about, but good luck on ur rebuild if u believe it so needs it.
