I recently bought myself a 2006 RX 8 Evolve and was wondering if you could help me with the oil. I have read many threads debating synthetic vs semi vs mineral and so on and to be quite honest I don't totally understand it all.

Per my manual I want 5w-30 fuel with certain ratings but it doesnt mention whether it should be synthetic etc.

Si, I have found this oil (Mobil ESP):

It matches the specs in the book but I am unsure if the "fully synthetic" part will be bad for the engine.

I apologise if this is a frequent question, but I am struggling to find an oil that the majority seems to agree with.

Stick with regualr oil.

 

Alright, will do. Short of asking you to put it in the engine for me could you recommend a specific oil?
