As far as fuel consumption. It should make no difference considering the same amount of fuel is being pumped in. It will most likely burn the gas more efficiently I think. As far as rough Idle. The misfires should not be a problem any more but besides that , I cant imagine ignition having any say in the way the engine moves around.

Power!!
Glad to help. And the fuel pump really works. I was able to take 2.5 seconds off my time at the local autox thanks to not having to wait for the fuel pump to come back after left hand sweepers. 
BTW: Make sure you borrow Ray's fuel pump retaining ring removal tool. The ring is a bitch to get off without the right tool.
