Question Codes for CEL and "DSC OFF" flashing

I just went to AutoZone and have them pulled the codes for CEL on my '04 (20k miles). It turns out there are multiple offenses. And I'm wondering if anyone here have experienced with any of these problems.

P0456 (EVAP small leak detected)

Probable Causes
1. loose or missing fuel cap. (I've bought a new gas cap and put that on right away. Not sure if it will get rid of this code. The guy told me it will take a few cycle to clear the problem codes?! - whatever that meant!!)
2. EVAP canister broke, hose cracked or not connected
3. Purge or vent solenoid defective
4. Vacuum leak at engine (sounds very serious!)

P0113 (IAT - Intake Air Temperature circuit)

Explanation
The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle

Probable Causes
1. Check connector and wiring
2. Sensor open or shorted (Where is the sensor and fuse located??)

P0102 (MAP (Man. Absolute Pressure)/BARO or MAF (Mass Air Flow)/VAF (Vane Air Flow) sensor condition)

"The PCM has determined that the mas air flow input is lower than expected for the current engine operating conditions"

Probable Causes
1. Vacuum hose off, cracked or passage blocked - Engine mechanical timing condition (Where is the vacuum hose??)
2. Throttle body intake tube loose, off or cracked (looks good and tight to me)
3. BARO (Barometer)/MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) defective
4. VAF (Vane Air Flow) MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor dirty or defective (I've just replaced the air filter about 1500 miles earlier)

On top of all these, I just have the "DSC OFF" flashing and the "Car Skidding" light on at the dash too!

TIA,
Pete

456 - You don't crank down hard enough on your gas cap when you put it on.

113 & 102 are both related to the MAF sensor, on the top of the air intake, just in front of the corrugated piece of rubber tube. May be a bad contact, or need cleaning. (there's a DIY)

The flashing traction lights usually mean a very poor battery connection - check dem poles!

Question

>456 - You don't crank down hard enough on your gas cap ....
I have turned the cap tight until it gives off multiple clicking sound. Can't think of any other ways to make it any tighter.

>MAF sensor ..... May be a bad contact, or need cleaning. (there's a DIY)
So am I supposed to take the little black box off the corrugated rubber tube and clean it? It's all electronics inside that box I suppose.

>flashing traction lights ...... check dem poles!
What is dem poles?? I've only pulled the DSC fuse to look at but it looks good and clean to me.

The 'leak' code is 99% a loose gas cap. Maybe some rust or a loose gasket?

The MAF sensor is a little set of wires that need a spray clean - it's the five wires going into the little plastic plate with two screws. Be gentle!

When you get even a brief loss of power to the electric steering, it flashes those lights. Start engine, wheel all the way left, then right, centres the sensor again.

With regard to the flashing DSC light, was your battery disconnected?

It gives a procedure in the owners manual about how to get this in order again.

You have to lock your steering wheel clockwise and anticlockwise. I don't know the proper sequence. Look under "DSC" in the manual.
