Checking antifreeze / coolant level?

Hello All,
From the RX-8 users manual page 8-12:

"Inspecting Coolant Level":
"The coolant should be at full in the radiator and between the F and L marks on the coolant reservoir when the engine is cool."

I'm finding in really difficult to see the coolant level in the reservoir due to the way it's packed into the engine.

Am I the only one having this problem?

Is there a trick to checking the coolant level that you can share with me?

Also, I know we're supposed to check it when the engine is cool, but what should I see if I look at the level when the engine is hot?

Regards,
rx8cited

You should be able to see the level above the horizontal seam in the tank, as the manual says, between the Low and Full lines molded into the tank, and it will be seen above the F mark when the engine is hot.

If it was so low you had trouble seeing it, I would think your low coolant light would have come on.
