i have a 2005 w/36,000 miles on it my check engine light came on the other day. it does not seem to be running rough or anything, revs good and shifts good. my wife did tell me that it is getting a little harder to start. the batery has been in it since we have bought the car approx. 5 years ago. could it be the battery starting to get weak making the car do this and show the check engine light. thanks for the help.

does it have to be a Mazda dealer or can you get it checked anywhere
(like a regular shop)?

 

go to autozone and get it done for free, write down the code and search the forum for that code and an answer
