CF doors
CF doors
I am just wondering if anyone has installed the seibon CF doors both front and back

basically I want to know if you can put back the interior door cover and the window and all the other stuff attached to the doors

and as for the comment to just wrap them... the purpose wasn't to have them look like cf, since I would have had them painted, it was for weight savings
but of course if safety is an issue then it wont get done

Adding the support beams to the CF doors would completely go against the reason for having them. Weight savings. If you've ever seen CF doors, they're usually wavey and fit terribly. The only look cool (subjective) from a distance. The only reason to have them is for weight savings in a race car.
+1

thats what I thought because I have never heard of anyone actually doing that.
Well if your going to do it, do it right. You will need a 14 point roll cage so go ahead and remove the rear seats. You will need a double bar next to you to protect you, so go ahead and remove any ideas of rolling windows down. Get ready to make a part out thread for the windows on both sides, the power lock actuators, the power window motors, the buttons for the windows locks and the control unit for the mirrors. Then make a purchase for lexan windows, they will be stationary since having to put in the roll cage will take out the door panel space. You wont have room for anything other than the door. Get versed on how to mount and secure a lexan window. Learn how to clean them (very easy to scratch not cleaning properly). Throw away your key fob since its useless at this point. How you will lock the doors is also another question.
I would do all lexan windows before the cf doors. I believe you can get hardened and scratch resistant lean which is streetable.
Pound for pound, you will get better results with lexan over the cf doors due to the weight being higher.

I got some revolution lexan windows, they came with special cleaner. I have yet to install them and probably won't until I get a nice weathered weekend in the summer.
It was around 1k for all 4. I got it because of Detroit, but weight savings is always a +.

Windshield and rear window will save the most weight.
