TX Center Force stage 2 clutch, good or bad buy?!?! pls help!

i found some one with a Center Force stage 2 clutch from their rx8 that they totaled i dont know the shape of it, but it looked fine in the pictures. anyways, he only wants 300$ for it! good buy or bad buy? i just have the original clutch on mine, and i can tell its going out. If I am going over 7,000 RPM in first gear and shift to 2nd, it just grinds and makes this horrible noise, so I have to double clutch if I want to go fast. It doesnt do that for daily driving (under 6000 RPM) It does that also randomly when i go into 5th, but not often, and its only those 2 gears....so Im just guessing its my clutch, if you have any other ideas, please tell. Also please let me know if this is a good buy!!! i dont know anything about clutches!!!

you won't want an aftermarket stage 2 clutch, get an OEM replacement....and know that this is a big job that includes dropping the tranny.....so if you are not doing this yourself, expect to pay at least 5 hours of labor for this install.

Do not buy. There are a couple of reasons why this may be happening to your car and it may not be your clutch. You should spend the money to figure out what's wrong first.

shaunv74 may be right, unfortunately.
It may be a transmission issue! Anyway for most rx8s a stage I exedy is a way better match so you may be willing to see how much they cost (around 335$) after having your transmission issues sorted out.

...and a more aggressive clutch will only make the transmission issues you are experiencing, worse....much, much worse...
