Ok, so I have been trying to get this CEL to turn off for about 3 weeks now. It is for a minor evap leak. I already replaced the gas cap. I have been doing some searching on the forum and it sounds like it could be the purge solenoid as well. Can anyone explain to me what this does and where it is located. I would like to do all the repairs myself since my car is out of warranty and my dealership sucks.

Also, someone mentioned that this was part was replaced by one of the recalls. Does anyone know which recall?

 

purge valve is on the upper intake, i believe its in the front. dealer SHOULD stock it, its the same as a bunch of the other cars, i believe its klg5-18-741, but i'm not sure

if theres an update it was replaced on, it would be the updated breather kit one

it also could be the leak detection pump, aj51-18-581, again its shared with other cars
