CEL flashing

hey guys. I tried to install my AP pulley today and ran into a few problems along the way. I had bought the pulley from a member of this forum and it didnt come with new bolts. I soon found out the stock bolts will not work because they come in contact with the side of the AP pulley and will not tighten down all the way. I decided to put the stock pulley back on and go home(from my parents house). On the way home my CEL started flashing contantly. I used a light to inspect the metal ring behind the pulley and it appears to be ok. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Try resetting the eccentric shaft by turning to on without starting it and pump the brake pedal like 20 times in 8 seconds. The oil gauge needle will sweep to the right and back if done correctly

Reset the ecu not the e shaft, sounds like you have a Misfire and I doubt the pulleys have anthing to do with it

thanks for the help guys. After a few more tries this afternoon i got it to reset. The needle went halfway on the oil pressure guage. I took it for a test drive. The CEL is no longer flashing and idle is much smoother. Now i need to find out where i can get bolts that work with the AP pulley since the stock bolts wont fit inside the pulley. Can anybody help me with this? thanks.

you have to reset the e-shaft position sensor with the brake pedal pumping procedure for this issue, resetting the ECU won't do it

had you searched you have seen that you're now about the 100th person to start the same thread again
