Why do you want to replace your catalytic converter? The catalytic converter is covered for 8yr 80k miles so have your tested if you think it is bad. Plus each catalytic converter is different and what works on one car wont work on your 8. Do some research first and return the catalytic converter that you bought. Plus you dont even know where it is on your car. There is no o2 sensor in the catalytic converter itself. You would have to cut out your old converter and weld the new one in. Its not a simple bolt on

The warranty goes with the car. As long as you're within the 80,000 miles you're covered.

Glad to see someone who wants to keep the emission controls.

Yes, the piece with the hole in the middle is your cat, if it's bad you would buy (new or used) an RX-8 replacement, not a piece of muffler with catalyst in it.....

yeah if it's bad shouldb covered under warrnaty....
