CAT + Pipe = Power

Hey does anybody know if you get any significant gains by Gutting the Stock cat and then putting it back on. Is there any power gains comming from that or is it better to buy the race pipe or.... Anything.

The answer to this entire question has yet to be known simply because nobody has ever published backpressure measurements of the OEM midpipe versus their own. I wonder why? No company who makes "cold air" intakes has ever published mass air flow numbers, either. I also wonder why THAT is?
