Car won't start security light is on. What do I do

Ok so I'm driving down the street and my rear tail lights all went out. So I got pulled over by a cop. ( it's how I know they went out). So I went to the gas station checked my trunk and it had alot of water inside. So I figured it blew a fuse. So I checked it. And yes the 10 amp blew. So I put a 10 and it blu. 15 blu and 20 it didn't blow. So the tail lights went back on. I tought to my self im going home. Well on the way home the car turned off on me at the lights. I pulled over to a safe area and tried restarted the car. But nothing. Battery is ok. And that 20 amp blew. But now all the display lights are on. And the security light is blinkin. When I turn the key the engine does not turn at all. Please help. It's Saturday night. I got girls to visit. Thanks

Have you installed any aftermarket lights or accessories?

Which fuse is it? If it's the STOP fuse, which should be 15 A, the you've got a short in the brake light wiring harness most likely.

i have no aftermarket lights, i have exhaust, and the cobb. im going to try in reset the ecu to its original map. and see if that works. by STOP you mean the stop light as in TAIL light , the tail light fuse is what blew.

Checked your post history, looks like you mention some gauges or something.

Might want check your wiring, they could be shorting out against something.

Be sure to check the fuses in the engine compartment, the ones in the kick panel are not the only ones for this car.

Each fuse has a name - it's in the owner's manual and I assume on the fuse box. Yep, the STOP fuse supplies current for brake or stop lights that illuminate when you step on the brake pedal.

Glad yours turned out to be an easy problem ... I wonder what caused the fuses to blow?
