Car stalled after drift

Hey guys...let me just say I'm not a pro drifter, nor do I try to be. I just like to have fun. I was driving tonight and figured hey, its raining out so why not try to drift the 8 around this corner. I ripped the e-brake, hit the throttle and I kind of lost control so I spun out (noob! haha). I noticed after I did my 360, the car stalled.

WHy did this happen?

nycgps 06-13-2010 10:36 PM

Cuz you just fucked ur car up.

what else could it be ?

lessons learned. and try to stop watching 2f2f related movies.

dcperilli 06-13-2010 10:39 PM

lol thanks for the honest answer....i wonder what caused the stall though. I'm thinking it's because when I did the 360, the car went in reverse a little

Tweek 06-13-2010 10:43 PM

lmao you turned the wheel the wrong way bro.

dcperilli 06-13-2010 11:23 PM

haha yeah i know man...i panicked like a little bitch when i started losing control hahaha

Tweek 06-13-2010 11:52 PM

no worries, i bent my rim doing the same, slid right into a curb on a rainy day.

Often the ESS gets confused...and the ECU shuts the car off to protect the motor...it doesn't like seeing the E shaft rotating the wrong way :)

Something tells me that in 5 years there are going to be a lit less RX8's on the road.

Why does that not make sense??? Its not like you can Power over on a RX-8 with ~150 Ft-lbs. of torque... :spank:

Maybe not a moron for trying to have a little fun, but definitely for starting this thread. Why did it stall? Common-fuckin-sense.
