need help not meaning to make a useless thread but i need to figure this out before i make my next move ... i was driving my car home today drove around 350 miles and on the way back it sputtered all the dash lights came on and it stalled ... 04 at 90k miles aem cai greddy sp2 and just installed coils and wires ... so it sputtered died and i waited a while and it turned right back on drove home no problems but now im scared as **** as to whats going n ... still have a warranty (not just engine) on the whole car but wanted to see if anyone else has seen this or knows why ... maybe the battery ran completely out of juice? i cant think of anything else ... any help would be appreciated oh i just installed coils and wires ...

also does mazda have the right to void my warranty for an aem cai greddy exhaust and mazdatrix plug wires ...

No, they can't just void your warranty. They'd have to prove that the mods caused the issue.
you could always throw the OEM intake back on and take it in.

 

it could be the fuel pupm coz it happened when i was low on gas ... thanks for the advice anyone else have any ideas?

 

bump anyone else have any ideas? im thinking fuel pump too coz it starts fine after i let it sit for 10-15 mins but then when its been driving for around an hour or more it hesitates again ..

 

I know a great way to test it to see if its the fuel pump.


Find an empty parking lot away from people/cars/police and make a 40 mph left sweeper.


Or you can go to one of the local autocrosses.
