A/C Condenser Leak!! HELP!!
Hi Guys,
I have a bit of an issue, I have a leak in my A/C condenser.
Apparently even with the Racing Beat screens installed, a rock managed to come up and penetrate it just to the right of the screen. The dealership is asking $882 plus tax for parts and labor to replace the A/C condenser.
My question is, is the price a reasonable one, or should I go elsewhere? Thanks for all your help!!

I wish it did, but my deductible is $500 and I don't think its really worth it....from doing research online, there are some aftermarket brand condensers selling for around $250, and a genuine Mazda one from Rosenthal is $280. Not sure how much labor and recharging the a/c is though.
What do you guys think, should I go aftermarket a/c condenser or buy another genuine Mazda one?
Thanks again for your replies.

I just got back for the Mazda dealer in Cary, NC for this exact repair (definately going to install a screen
). I was charged $687 (of which $177 was labor). The amount they are quoting you seems high.

I do have to add my A/C is blowing hot air as of yesterday
That DIY repair lasted 54,000 miles however. Not sure yet why it went.

i hit an animal last summer and had to replace mine. didnt take that long to replace. go thru the bottom undertray and get your car as high up as you can safely makes it a lot easier to work on.
