break in

how do i break my engine in correctly and how will i know its broken in besides the milage??

/According to Mazda, no need to break in this engine... however, I would caution to take it easy for the first 1,000 miles at least. Anyone else have other advice???

how to break in the car:

1)Find a really hot trophy girlfriend
2)Have her ride around with you whenever you are driving

Repeat for as long as necessary.

Your Rx8 is now broken in! Enjoy!

According to Mazda, no need to break in this engine...
Whaaaat? Which Mazda are you talking about? Obviously not the Mazda who makes the RX-8.

Break in procedure is explained in the MAZDA RX-8 OWNERS MANUAL? Who wrote that, aliens?

It's there - I have a hard time finding it too. Right below the RX-8 pictured at the top of the page is a box with a rotor that says "How to break-in your RX-8."

oh i see i got it thanks, i never kept the car in high rpms for a long time and even the dealer at the dealership took the rx8 that we took to get mine from another lot to redline but only for a second. i never keep my car higher than 5k except that one time lol. but yea ive redlined it a few times just to try it out ill keep it off redline till its fully broken in. thanks for the site
