brake ? drilled/slotted rotors

Who can help? I have new slotted/drilled rotors to replace my stock rotors, do the slots in the rotor need to go toward the front or rear of vehicle? I've looked and seen them both ways somebody is wrong.
Thanks

Mmmm I don't think it matters, but I'm not positive.

I thought the slots where there just to help vent the gasses generated during braking.

The only reason I ask is I heard if they are going the wrong direction they will wear out your brake pads faster.

The slot direction doesn't matter, the Vane direction does. if the vanes are straight then its your choice which way the slots go.

This is correct.

FYI, on my StopTech Sport rotors, which came with L/R stickers for orientation, the slots point toward the front.

I always thought they were supposed to go toward the front to force the gases out the front of the pad & rotor assembly.
Thanks for the help everyone!

FYI- I contacted the rotor mfg. And they said it's up to you which way you want them to look still works and performs the same either direction they said.
