I was jacking up the car and when letting it down i slipped and let the valve down too quick and the jack scraped off some of the black ??? stuff that is sprayed on the underside of the car. easiest place to feel it is right behind the front tire. Im not sure if this is a big deal or not. But if its protecting frame steel from corrosion or something I need to get some more to put on. Anyone know what it is or what i should do?

You can get more of it from autozone to respray what you scraped off
it is called undercarriage spray to prevent rust etc

Shouldn't worry about it too much if your in florida - I don't think you guys got enough salt etc on the floor - but I'd respray it just to be safe from rust if you are keeping the car for longer than 3 years

its called undercoating.. i think everyone should get it put on once a year. it will pretect the 8 from rusting
