I think any of the above are good. Just stay away from the discount gas stations. Shell seems to be the preferred gas station though.

Newer gas stations=newer tanks=better gas.

I thinks this is the best advice.

I use Shell in mine, Chevron is fine with me as well.

I really like Mobil, but there arent any in the Seattle area

I think costco counts as discount gas. Do you know who they buy from? Some people have reported problems using their fuel, but I've filled up there once or twice without issue, then again I can use 87 without pinging too, so maybe some have sensitive rx-8's.

I've never really thought much about the difference between good and bad gas, I've just always filled up with premium and thought it was all coming from the same place for the most part. However, over the summer I tried the Shell V-power not thinking much of it, my car was running great and I couldn't figure out why, it just felt slightly more responsive kind of like a cool day compared to a warm day. I filled up the next time at wherever... I don't even remember and my car seemed to lose a little something. I then saw the annoying V-power commercial and it kind of dawned on me... I tried another tank of the V-power after that and realized it's damn good gas, and it really does make a difference. Now it's not a huge difference, I'll fill up with other types of gas still, but if it's somewhat convenient it'll be the Shell V-power. My high compression engine loves it, not sure if you'll notice much in the RX-8 but just from feel it seems to be good stuff.

it would be a waste of money much cheaper to add an octane booster that you buy in bulk to your lower grade fillup
Huh?

I've always filled up @ my nearby 76 station (you know, the big orange ball?) with 91 premium but I was also wondering if there are "better" gas stations that I should be using.
