if you have dsc and tcs just hold the dsc button for more than 10 seconds, you will see a car with swigly tire marks come up on the dash and DSC OFF will light up. that turns off the dsc and traction control but be careful, you have to turn the car off and back on to get it back to default

I'm afraid the problem you are having is with the automatic transmission portion of the equation here, not the DSC/TSC. Do you have a sport model? If i recall correctly, Sport models dont have DSC/TSC at all.

What about your engine? is it in good condition? had all the TSB's performed? is the loss of power anywhere? rough idle? CEL?

Sport models do have dsc. I think the problem you're having is you're starting off with a car that's not made for "off the line" racing against rice-burners, and you decided to go with an auto, which has less power than the manual. Turning off dsc wont yield you any torque, but it will allow you to spin your tires. If you want better 0-60, get a mustang.

one more thing... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS DOING IN THE DIY SECTION?? Seriously, you're going to get flamed, banned, etc if you dont take the time to post in the correct place.

I believe that the base line model IS the Sport Model.

If your trans starting slipping try a transflush(Might help) first. Check out the fluid. If theres metal, youre in trouble. either fix it or sell it.

TSB= tech service bulletin.
