Apex seals(again)

I have rotary aviation seals in my fd and haven't had problems in 4 years so km asking this.

anyone used rotary aviation apex in the 8 and what's your take ?

I know Mazda is the #1 to use but I've like to get some experience reviews .

You should get a new set of rotors modified to use the RX7 apex and corner seals (method 1 below)

I really was leaning toward that. if I did any major port work but since those don't add power gains/very little mpg improvements from the exhaust side I didn't see it worth it.
I got a little over 100k on 2 engines using stock seals one was replied under warranty at 96k the other lasted for 8 Years but lost a rear main bearing. Destroying the eshaft. Engine still ran but poured oil.

the current replacement got Atkins apex and at 500 miles on the build it dies after the motor runs for 10-20 minutes and doesn't restart till its sat for a few hours and is cold.

I was going to have a rebuilder take a spare motor and assemble it with his warranty and just drive it as being as close to bolt on oem as possible . (Cai/pulleys,coils,exhaust)
Any power mods are best spent on my FD The 8 will be my daily.

I already have everything parts wise except the apex seals themselves.

the only thing it’s not worth is my time trying to convince you not to be a penny wise and a pound foolish following your own lack of understanding.

Stick with Mazda seals -- have the rotors milled for m/y 1985-2002 13B OEM seals, or if unable to venture into machine work with the motor, stay with the m/y 2003-2012 13BMSP OEM seals.

so what was it exactly you are assuming that I didn't understand?

I understand deeper apex seals are stronger as there is more material and lessen chances of breaking. I've never broken an apex seal .... I'm wanting a oem type rebuild and don't mind trying other brand options for apex seals. This rebuild won't have forced induction or porting, so as long as I can get 70k miles out of the car I'm pleased. Maybe on my other engine I can build it all up and try to get stuff modified for it. But I don't see that necessary on a cheap build.

The only reason I am even fixing it now is because my 2018 mustang got totalled and I'd rather not have a car payment and get another new car.
