are you talking about a midpipe? LOTS of people here have done it, should free up some HP for you.
Simulator? as in tricking the car so it doesn't throw a CEL? Just buy an AccessPort, you'll never get the light.

Ya know what you could do? You could use the search button at the top of the page. Hell, this forum has been around for a good while, if people would search first we wouldn't have a kagillion threads on the same subject.

It's not just a matter of noise an HP. The cats are REALLY heavy when I removed mine. In comparison, the Racing Beat midpipe is a feather.
So it should help some if you're looking into weight reduction.
The stock exhaust is also rather heavy with a giant muffler. Aftermarket ones (like my MazdaSpeed ones) have smaller mufflers.

TurboXS catback + mid pipe rule. But you need longer tips. And if your car is NA it might be incredibly loud. With a turbo it is just right. :-D
