I have an 04 GT...nothing wrong with it, but Im getting an almost new engine with all accessories out of an 09 rx8. Could i use it when my engine bites the dust or should i just find an 09 or newer with a blown engine and have two ?

 

It's a very challenging project. Possible, but big waste of effort when you can just get a known good 04-08 engine for the same price as a later model one.

I'd sell all the stuff you're getting to someone who can you it and use the cash to plan your current car's future instead.

Anything is possible if your pockets are deep enough, but it’d be a mistake. It’s yours to make and pay for though.
