Another Glowing Cat Thread
So I had my cat replaced about 1,000 miles ago and after washing the car tonight I warmed it up and went out and drove it really hard for about 10 min. When I got home it stank like it did when the cat was going out and so I looked under the car and the cat was glowing red. From what I know, that isn't right? That kitty is working overtime...
Is my engine just carbed up and I am not driving it hard enough Could the gas not be burning off because of bad plugs and coils? It seemed to drive fine, I think...

that kitty is not happy.
I've heard of cats glowing without actually going bad. Strange...

i have changed over to the catless midpipe and have driven it quite a bit, still no cel. i noticed when changing it, the color of the sensors anD inside of pipes were perfect light brown and the cat looked new inside. maybe the new coils from mazsport are burnIng so good that the emmissions are low enough,p doesnt seem like theres any excess fuel in the pipes after changing coiils. no blab from the exaust. just feels like it is burning perfectly.
would be nice with no cel

must say it doesnt soundt as good as i hoped, whats up with that hissing sound when you put som pressure on the pedal? kinda sounds like a leak but i dont think it is... something like a "ssshhhh" sound a bit over the actual exaust note.
normal?

and again, my cat has been through the most. had engine problems before and before it was replaced, myself and mostly the dealer had so much problems starting it, it was spitting out oil and gas from the exausttip. so you should think it tackles quite a bit when it still lookes perfectly fine.
