I've been away from my dear 8 for quite awhile. left it at a friends house and he didn't start it up. so now the battery is dead. Any tips on what i should look out for when jumpstarting it. I guess i'm just being cautious. Its been on lay away for almost 4 months now.

I'm gonna be driving it from seattle to San Jose this weekend, but i'm bringint it into the dealer for a full check up before hand.

anything else i should watch out for?

Try to get the new 640 CCA batery from your dealer. My dealer gave me no hassel on the warranty upgrade.

Just get your friend to charge the battery before you pick it up is your time. If not the usual jump start procedure applies... Or you could push start it if it's a manual. Up to you.

 

I just went through this 2 days ago... my dealer upgraded the battery on my '04 GT to one with 520 CCA... he said it was the largest that would fit into the space... it sounds like I got shorted?!?!?
