One of the master rotary techs advised me to get an additional cooler for my AT rx-8. Which one should I get, what size, where's it go? Because its an AT the coolers built into the radiator (yes?) they said with the amount of driving and the heat conditions it will really help the car out.

Which one to buy, what requirements does it need?

The MT comes with two coolers, one each front corner.

The AT has only one, on the passenger side.

The coil in the rad is for the tranny.

He means you should buy one of the drivers side coolers from a wrecked MT, for more engine oil cooling.

Figured the dealership would have been all over that they just told me to bring one in.

 

You can just get one from one of our site Vendors.

then you can install it yourself. maybe 2-3 hours of your time.

 

Which vendor and what price to expect? I looked around and saw some for 500, that pricey?

 

Yup. Odd thing is my dealer put one in for free when the replaced my engine.
