try old(er) versions of forscan. 2.3.37 if memory serves... yes they are bullshitting on not programming rx8 abs units anymore, it never failed for me.

 

I did try 2.3.56 but ran into the same issue. I gave up and swapped another 04-06 DSC manual ABS module and all is good now.

I guess its possible the automatic ABS module was bad, it had 87k miles on it. I have a scantool and I could communicate and turn on different solenoids and the pump but FORScan failed no matter what code I put in. It kept saying, "vehicle conditions are incorrect" but the only condition is the vehicle cannot be moving...well it wasn't. I tried all kinds of different ways to try convincing the car wasn't moving; parking brake on, doors open, trunk open, doors locked/unlocks, neutral/in gear, etc.

In an attempt to save $50 I ended up wasting $170.
