ok so my clutch is gone, took it to my mechanic but advice me to get an aftermarket clutch since the stock one from mazda was like $600, now i need something quick, cheap, and not too racing, wifey is driving the car, now which brand should i get and where? i need to order it TONIGHT! as this is our DD, thanks for the fast response guys

 

PM Swoope, he has a gently used Exedy Stage I he might sell you much cheaper than new.

 

Talk to Charles R. Hill at Black Halo Racing. He is always a great help and great prices.

 

both good advice. I'd look into both of those... gives you a couple options from reputable people.

 

Just noticed you live in Florida; just so happens that Swoope also lives in Florida. If you want a new one, Ray would be a good option.

 

exedy stage I is a way to go and cheap too

 

I spoke w/swoope the other day and that clutch kit he has sounds like it is in great shape still. I think he has the BHR HD release bearing to offer with it, too.

 

all of this is true.

the exedy stage 1 i would guess has 15% wear.

also i have the bhr bearing mentioned.

also if you want to save more money. i have a stock clutch with less than 5 % wear.

i could get it out thursday..

thank you guys for the help, but when i got home wife was with a BIG smile telling me she had order the clutch already, that would have been a couple of $$$ i could have use for something else, oh well

 

and now you have to "thank" her later for being so sweet.. all kinds of fail lol

 

what she order? i woulda advised you the act hd clutch 300 $'s with everything needed. I have it its stronger than stock but not too much. my two cents
