3 rotor??

i dont know exactly where to post this question but here it goes..... a guy at work insist that the rx8 came with a 3 rotor engine!!! i dnot want to contadict him untill i have all the facts!! did the rx8 ever come with a 3 rotor either in jp or in the us?? if not then can someone explain the reason for re-a to make a header with three runners for the rx8?? i am sorry if this has been asked before but i cant stand stupid people and this sounds like a total false statement by this **** stick i work with...oh and here is a pic of the header i was talking about...

this is really getting to me!! i thought the rx8 engine was the same size as the
13b's in the rx7's???

As for the 3-rotor part of your post. No RX ever had the 3 rotor engine known as the 20B. In fact no 20B has ever been sold in a US spec car. The Japanese Eunos Cosmo was the one to come with 20B. That guy at work doesn't know anything about 'RX cars' or how to use Google. You might wish to only discuss things like American Idol with him.

Don't you know how to Google anything? or ever heard of Wikipedia,?
Anyway here's a link, please read..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Wankel_engine

That centre runner is shared by both front and rear rotors, (Siamese port)

The FC RX-7 86-92 where the best selling rotary cars ever. So there were and still are many FC RX-7 owners. The first gen of RX-7 are also known as FB's and the third FD's
