Cool 2009 RX-8 Oil Drain Plug Location

I am ready to drain oil and assumed the oil pan and drain plug was the same as my previously owned 2005. It is not. Is the plug on the drivers side rear bottom of oil pan with an allen wrench insert the drain plug? It is in a service round hole in the oil pan skid plate cover which is silver. The 2005 was a regular drain plug on the passenger side on side of oil pan.
