2009 backlight into 2008?
#2
uh oh, here we go again...this is posted once a day I swear....
search next time, as most questions are answered already
now...for your question...they will fit, but not sit flush with the bumper...does not look good. IMHO you are better off smoking out your tails or putting red tint on them if you don't like the stock tails.

I believe you, may be someone posted that question before but honestly, I did not find one. I am not that good in searching for an old threat.
Anyway, I have another question. How about changing the backlights and the bumper?
I liked the 2009 backlights and the bumper. Is it a good idea? or still not a wise thing to do?
Please reply .... Thanks !!!

They are normally called tail lights, probably why you're search didn't turn up anything.
You can do the swap but you would have to swap out the tail lights, the bumper, and the trunk lid.

Getting the bumper together with the lights is the only way to go, otherwise it won't look flush as it was said.
However nobody did that yet (or at least no pictures were posted), so we don't know for sure if it will be OK even if you get the bumper. The rear quarter panel line might or might not match the new bumper... also, the trunk seems to be the same but that's not confirmed either.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your help.
Actually, I compared the two models, I found that I have to change the lights, the bumper and 95% of changing the trunk lid. I am not sure about that.
Anyway, I guess I will think about it one more time. If I did that, I will post some pictures when done.

Paul at Mazmart (forum vendor) said something about having to change the trunk lid too.
I don't think anyone has made the complete change yet. Someone installed just the tails and they stuck out about an inch. I have no idea where the picture is at.
If you do it you would be the first.
