When I bought the car I bought a new key for it because the one that came with the car was on its last leg. I came across a mazda Cx-7(Don't remember exactly which one) that has the similar key but the only difference is that there is no trunk button. Can I get it programmed to the car or not? I just threw away my original key because its completely dead. Thanks in advance.

 

Did you try changing the battery before tossing it?

 

Yes the battery was brand new. It went from working, to only being able to unlock the car (had to use the small key to start the car), and finally nothing at all.
