13b engine in a Rx-8
Hey guys! I'm am planning on getting a used rx-8 in a few years. I love the rotary engine, especially the distinctive noise that it makes. However, the stock rx-8 renesis doesn't seem to deliver the pure sound of a rotary. I thought about putting a 3 rotor 20b in, however, it is very costly and it is probably not street legal here in NJ. I have checked out the 13b 2-rotor engines and I love the sound of them, especially the bridgeported ones.
So my questions are:
1. How much does a 13b engine cost on average (dollars)?
2. How much is it to install the 13b engine?
3. How much is it to bridgeport it?
Thanks!

so funny these morons said a 20B is costly, then they turn around and said they want to do a Bridgeport 13B swap AND worst come to worst is that he said 20B is illegal and like 13B swap is not ... sad.
do u even know what a Bridgeport means ? seriously.
if u have to ask, you can NOT afford it. go away.

Voids warranties
Im new to this so I could be talking out my *** but doesn't the rx8 have a 13b engine stock?
Im assuming he is talking about putting in an older rx7 13b. In most states that I know of its illegal to put in an older engine than the production date of the car.

Okay, off to the interwebs to attempt to find a new *facepalm.gif* worthy of this thread. Might be a while.
